Gene and Susan Glaser started Glaser’s Automotive in 1986 as a full-service automotive repair shop. Gene Glaser came from a background of construction workers, but always had a passion for cars. After spending many years building homes, he decided to follow his heart and open an auto shop. The original shop did full mechanical work, body, paint, interior repairs, and high-performance upgrades. After several years, the Glaser’s decided to narrow its focus in order to provide its customer with the best possible collision repair service.
Glaser’s Collison Center was born, and the Jeffersontown shop was built to better suit the growing collision repair business. The Jeffersontown shop serves as the headquarters for Glaser’s and is the largest shop. This location is very fortunate to have long-time employee Craig Davis who has helped shape Glaser’s into what it is today.
In 1999, a second location in the heart of Louisville was opened on Preston Hwy location. Then in 2008, with a lack of quality-oriented shops in the area, several insurance companies motivated Glaser’s to start its third location in Shepherdsville.
Today, the business is being carried on by second generation owners Aaron and Heather Glaser. The Glaser’s stand committed to high quality repairs and exceptional customer service as well as their involvement in the community. Whether hosting Ladies Night, now in its 9th year, or a supply drive for Kentucky Humane Society, or Souping up Bikes for Toys for Tots, the Glaser’s like supporting the community.
With a commitment to the future, and a strong team of employees the Glaser’s have now opened their fourth location in South Louisville.
All Glaser’s locations have maintained I-Car Gold Class status, have I-Car trained welders, and hold certifications from a variety of car manufactures.
The Team’s focus on quality does not go unnoticed, with Glaser’s having won Best Body Shop in Louisville several times and awarded the 2017 A-List Best Body Shop.
